Joel Ratekin, President and Founder
Joel Ratekin is both the leader of our company, and a major advocate of the new work dynamic.
Mr. Ratekin launched his consultancy in 2006. Prior to founding his business, he was Director of Workplace Design at Capital One Financial, with a five million square foot portfolio. There, he created the company's renowned Workplace Evolutions and Future of Work programs. In the early 1990s, while serving as Director of Space Planning and Workplace Strategy at American Express, Inc., he created and implemented leading edge solutions like the Global Space universal plan and Virtual Office telework programs. These programs helped set the stage for the new movement toward flexible workspaces.
In 2007, Joel accepted the role as President of CoreNet Global's new Workplace Community. This professional community is focused on becoming the global voice of authority and integration hub for all people working with new and progressive workplace strategies.
Joel's many awards include the distinguished Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility (2007) and CoreNet's Bruce R. Russell Award for Innovation (2006.)
